Dreaming Up Our Space

As my husband and I merge our lives after getting married, our furniture and design tastes are also merging.  I brought soft, neutral tones, while he contributed sleek black furniture with a modern feel.  We've blended everything pretty well, but as I think about the future, I enjoy searching for ideas to lead us toward a unified aesthetic.  I'd like for anything we buy for our home to create cohesion, rather than purchasing separate items we may like, but might not help us create a specific "look".

My eyes were immediately drawn to this clean, feminine take on a mid century craigslist find by Sarah of Sarah Hearts.  Think my hubby will go for the scalloped accent?

Fresh Sneaks: Watermelon Keds

Citrus prints of anything like watermelon, grapefruit or tangerines seem to be catching my eye lately.  Maybe it's all the grapefruit cravings I've had as of late!  They're just so refreshing.

I saw these Keds on Jillian Harris' website recently.  Aren't they adorable?  They're going fast, but you can get a pair here!
