Harmon Family Session

One of the many perks of being a photographer in Louisville are all of the beautiful park locations!  After talking with the Harmon's about what they love to do together as a family and which locations were special to them, Beckley Creek Park became the perfect choice.  As a family that loves to camp, being outdoors and basically getting to play and goof off together in front of the camera made everyone feel right at home.

I had such a fun time with this sweet family from my church during their session.  Their excitement about having family pictures taken definitely fueled me!  It's awesome when your client is as excited as you are, and even better when they become friends (a common theme around here!).  I met Michelle when we were in a Seminary Wives Institute class together at Southern Seminary.  We met when I pointed out her beautiful handwriting (like Etsy calligraphy-worthy) when we sat by each other before class - and here we are!

I like to take Mom and Dad aside during a family session so they can have a little cuddle time in front of the camera!

When we got to our cars to drive to another location within the park, this little cutie latched on to my leg and gave me the biggest hug.  My heart instantly melted.  These kiddos made the shoot extra fun.

Peter, Meet Your Sisters

I was so excited when I got the text that baby Peter was about to leave NICU to head home and meet his big sisters.  The girls directed their excited energy by showing their favorite toys to their grandparents and watching home videos on the oh, so captivating iPhone.

There was a sweetness in watching Peter's sisters "discover" him for the first time - his tiny fingers and toes. Their go-to when he started whimpering was to stick their tongues out to cheer him up.

Of course, first on the agenda was sharing a puppy toy!

They wrapped Peter up in his Dad's baby blanket.  So sweet!

Meeting your brother for the first time is a big deal, and Grandma cuddles help cap it off perfectly.
